In the past I used to decorate the Christmas tree with all kind of ornaments, all colors and shapes, as most people do, but for the past two years I decided to do something different, and go with a color theme, just two colors. I use red and white, and I use multicolor lights, and the tree looks great. You should do the same, buy some ornaments, ribbons and lights, all having the same color. It will look wonderful.
Over the years, you can buy special personalized Christmas ornaments with family and friends name on them, so that every year, when it’s time to decorate your Christmas tree, you can get together with all your friends and family and each one gets to position his own ornament; this is a great opportunity to get together and have a party for Christmas.
If you don’t have a big living room, and need a Christmas tree that doesn’t take up too much space, than a corner Christmas tree might be perfect for you. These trees are designed in such way that they can fit into the corner of you living-room so that they will occupy minimal space as possible, but will still look amazing.

If you like to go all the way and blend your Christmas tree with your home decor and taste, than you may want to consider a color tree, such as a pink Christmas tree, or a white Christmas tree. These trees don’t look so real, in fact they make no effort to even pretend such a thing, but they give a unique and original look to your home.
To decorate your Christmas tree you can use ribbons in a lot of ways, either as garlands or for hanging your ornaments form them. You can use two colors, such as red and white, blue and silver, these combinations are both wonderful to use for your decorating style. Or you can go for a rich purple and gold theme, and really make your Christmas tree stand out.
if you prefer a more natural look for your Christmas tree decorations, you can use swags of cloth with pine cones, and also make use of fruits, nuts and berries to give accents of color and create a very festive look for you Christmas tree.
When it comes to the Christmas tree topper, I use a large glass globe with a light inside it. This gives a perfect “star” effect, especially if the globe has little star shapes imprinted on it. But you don’t have to use the traditional star for your tree topper, there a lot of different things to put on the top of the tree. A favorite toy could make a great topper, or a small doll. Just make sure it isn’t too heavy.
Whatever you choose to do with your Christmas tree, and how you decide to decorate it, make sure that it represents your style and that expresses how you feel about Christmas. The Christmas tree is the most important part of your home decor, so it should be something that represents your unique lifestyle and your family’s wishes, and not just some another object that needs to be picture perfect.

I like decorating christmas trees with classic wooden ornaments because it’s more simple and feels light. Not like those so much fancy lights and screaming bright colors it’s like so much energy. Ribbons are good too and I like how you did the ribbons in the picture and lastly for the tree topper, I always use an angel.
